$27 Hourly On-Call / Full Time & Part Time / Security Officer - Minden/ Carson City, Nevada

We have immediate openings for experienced Security Officers to join our team of professionals!

Competitive pay rates start at $23-25/hr (DOE)

Specific Duties:

• Monitor, control, patrol, and secure physical access to protected facilities.
• Identify and neutralize potential threats to personnel and property.
• Allowing only authorized materials and/or persons in and out of the facility.
• Apprehend and detain violators in preparation for police arrival.
• Serve as the mediator in conflict/resolutions.
• Responsible for foot patrol of the client's property.
• Working knowledge of CCTV systems.
• Correcting or reporting irregular conditions.
• Enforcing rules and regulations.
• Maintain excellent relationships with law enforcement.
• Assist the facility as needed with security for on-site special events.
• Maintain effective communication with other team members and facility management.
• Conduct investigatory interviews upon request, collect data for investigation reports, and provide summaries to facility management.
• Report all incidents, accidents, or medical emergencies to site management.
• Respond to emergencies such as medical, natural disasters, and/or direct imminent threats, as well as alarms such as fire and intrusion, while following emergency response procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma (or GED) required or any equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
• Must have a valid BSIS CA Guard Card
• Minimum 2 years of security experience required
• Previous law enforcement or military experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Possesses exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interface professionally with all levels of internal and external customers
• Must have basic computer knowledge and report-writing skills
• Must be flexible to work some evenings and/or weekends when needed

Background check required. Qualified candidates may be required to pass additional written tests (s).
