About the job:
LuxSci is looking for an Accounting Intern to assist the Finance department with collecting backup documentation, organizing the data room, ensuring accounting compliance, and maintaining the department’s best practices and other accounting projects.

Accounting Compliance Tasks:
- Accounts Payable Documentation: Ensure all expenses have bills attached
- Accounts Receivable Documentation: Ensure all check images are attached to Quickbooks payments
- Accounting Files Backup Documentation: Ensure all bank files, reconciliations, and other documentation are saved in the data room
- Audit/Update file naming convention for consistency
- Audit checklist of month-end close procedures
- Organize data room for efficiency (organizing electronic files)
- Review Traveling Mailbox
- Monitor accounting inbox for missing receipts

We are a hybrid software company, with expectations of in-office for training and in-person weekly.

Requirements:

Requirements:
- Soon-to-be accounting graduate or recent graduate
- Ability to organize and manage electronic files efficiently
- Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus
- Detail-oriented and compliance-focused
- Availability to work approximately 8-10 hours per week
- Able to work in office for training and attend weekly in-person sessions
