The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is responsible for preparing and processing payments for vendor invoices and other financial commitments, ensuring compliance with internal accounting procedures. This role involves reviewing purchase orders, statements, and invoices to confirm the accuracy of amounts due. The clerk maintains and reconciles the accounts payable ledger, addresses vendor inquiries, and resolves discrepancies related to billings and payments. Additionally, they may handle employee expense reimbursement requests.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Handle credit card application processing
• Set up new vendors, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected
• Input purchase orders into the system
• Monitor the A/P email inbox daily for vendor invoices, statements, and other correspondence requiring attention
• Route A/P invoices for approval
• Process accounts payable transactions, including ACH payments and check issuance, and send remittance advice
• Match invoices with corresponding purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Digitally file and scan invoices to the Dropbox filing system
• Reconcile vendor and supplier account statements
• Code, enter, and reconcile monthly credit card statements
• Reconcile monthly bank statements
• Maintain and update the A/P monthly expense control sheet
• Play a key role in the month-end closing process for Accounts Payable
• Perform additional accounting tasks as needed
