Job Description

Description We are a renowned non-profit organization based in Tucson, AZ, currently in search of a Budget Preparation Specialist for a contract role. The contract will run for a period of 3-6 months, with a possibility for extension. As a Budget Preparation Specialist, you will bring your intermediate MS Excel skills to our dynamic finance team to assist in the planning, preparation, and implementation of our yearly budgets. Responsibilities: + Assisting in the preparation and implementation of budgets and financial plans. + Reviewing and analyzing budget requests, and recommending appropriate funding levels. + Monitoring budget execution and reporting on organizational financial performance. + Utilizing Microsoft Excel to update and maintain complex budget worksheets and financial data. + Collaborating with department heads to gather and analyze financial data and develop robust budget forecasts. + Assisting in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. + Identifying budget issues and trends, and suggesting possible solutions to improve financial performance. + Evaluating budget performance and providing guidance on budget-related issues. Requirements + Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. + Proven experience in budget preparation and financial forecasting. + Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, with a strong understanding of formulas, functions, pivot tables, and charts. + Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively interpret financial data. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. + Strong organizational abilities and attentiveness to detail. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff.
