Responsibilities:The Corrosion Specialist assists with the implementation of the various components of DGOC’s Corrosion Control programs. Special focus to be placed on: Responsible for all field activities related to corrosion control and pipeline integrity. Performs remedial actions when operational deficiencies are noted. Conduct various tests, measurements, and surveys to ensure efficient operation of pipeline and cathodic protection facilities. Collecting rectifier readings. Monitor the condition of the pipeline through pipe-to-soil potentials, visual inspection, examination of pipe coupons, field data, etc. Coordinate and schedule onsite excavation oversight / inspection for third party (line crossings). Manage inquiring phone calls related to excavation and construction and coordinate corrective actions. Completes special projects, other duties, and annual goals as assigned. The position is in DEC’s Central Region and can be located anywhere in the Texas or Louisiana operational footprint.
