Job Description

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Cyber Security Specialist to support multiple programs in PEO Aviation. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Manage Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes for the various Fixed Wing Program Office SEMA systems (HADES SIL, HADES Aircraft (non-MEP), HADES Maintenance Support Device/s and SW-R EFB.
  • Initiate system authorization requirements within eMASS and APMS.
  • Formulate a system security plan and implementation plan for each system.
  • Perform system security assessments and technical vulnerability scans.
  • Analyze system security vulnerabilities and mitigate risk.
  • Create and manage POA&Ms throughout the system's lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and work with PEO AVN OCIO on various ATO packages.
• Lead/manage HADES Cyber Working Group and HADES DOT&E deliverables
  • Develop P2/ MTA artifacts and deliverables such as Program Protection Plan and Cybersecurity Strategy.
  • Facilitate cyber threat discussions, including coordination with G2 and stakeholders.
  • Act as a champion for HADES Supply Chain Risk Management for Cyber.

Required Experience:

• A well-seasoned cybersecurity professional with at least 7-10 years of experience.
• Experience inclusive of 3-5 years of work on complex aircraft platforms, weapon systems, and/or related mission systems.
• Experience with systems with multiple enclaves in support of DoD Army RMF requirements.
• Security hardening of information systems, platform IT (PIT), and ICS / SCADA systems.
• Identification and Implementation of technical RMF system security controls.
• Experience with performing ACAS or Nessus technical system security scans.
• Experience configuring/installing and implementing an ACAS server.
• Must have a Security + CE, MASS training, and an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) or similar.
• Must be a US Citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CISSP or CISM.
• CompTIA Network+ CE.
• Software assurance testing and evaluation.
• RMF training and certification.
• System security engineering.
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems is preferred.
