Job Description

**CTG is seeking to fill a Fiber Network Data Analyst opening for our client.** **Location:** Remote - Candidates must reside in the Central, Mountain, or Western Time Zones (Eastern Time Zone candidates will not be considered) **Duration:** 8 months **Duties:** + Document, edit, and manage records of fiber optic network assets for both inside and outside plant operations using industry-specific software + Research and analyze network orders, diagrams, fiber routes, and customer databases to validate and verify fiber optic asset records + Evaluate network design issues by studying project concepts, objectives, and technical requirements + Gather, review, and interpret various data sources to ensure accurate fiber optic network documentation + Validate network design drawings and resolve data entry issues impacting fiber network integrity + Utilize tools including MapInfo, Visio, Google Earth/Maps, and Microsoft Office Suite + Research and confirm building addresses and coordinates using Google Earth/Maps and create building footprints in network systems + Understand and work with databases, queries, spreadsheets, and schematic drawings + Read and interpret dark fiber contracts and act on the provisions within those contracts + Apply deep knowledge of interconnectivity within carrier hotels including cable types, fiber interfaces, and riser specifications **Skills:** + Strong attention to detail in a high-accuracy environment + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth/Maps, and Visio + Familiarity with fiber network documentation and design tools (e.g., MapInfo, AutoCAD a plus but not required) + Understanding of databases and ability to interpret schematic network designs + Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills + Knowledge of GIS systems is a plus + Network design experience is a significant plus **Experience:** + Minimum of 3 years of experience in the telecommunications industry + Solid understanding of fiber optics and telecom principles + Experience in documenting and analyzing fiber optic network data **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market conditions, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
