DESCRIPTION :

 

Company is looking for a Field Engineer to provide technical/engineering support to ensure heavy civil construction work complies with the design, technical requirements, codes and standards.  Requires civil background, preferably with construction submittals, subcontractor management, and/or relevant field quality control inspection experience.  Reports to Senior Project Engineer.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES :

·         Position involves office and field work within assigned civil discipline(s) and requires an understanding of contract requirements and specifications as they apply to civil construction, quality control (i.e. structural steel, concrete), construction submittals, etc. 

·         Read and interpret Contract, Drawings, Specifications, Standards, and related technical documents in coordination with project-wide activities.

·         Supports work activity schedules/updates, and communicates across discipline groups to ensure proper advance notifications and work coordination.

·         Support construction work plan packages, pre-construction coordination, including preparation of RFI’s, construction submittals and as-built records.

·         Assists in preparing monthly reporting for progress payments, schedule updates, etc.

·         Coordinates with subcontractors on advance material acquisitions and pre-construction deliverables.

·         Field verify to ensure construction is completed in accordance with contract requirements.

·         Maintains a safe, clean and productive environment through enforcing procedures.

·         Maintains project integrity and reputation through compliance with high standards of workplace safety, quality and construction best practices.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

·         Four-year engineering degree, plus minimum 3 years relevant experience (or equivalent).

·         Commitment to safety and quality, with adherence to safe work practices

·         Team player and good interpersonal skills

·         Willing to work evening and overnight shifts.

·         Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office, surveying, scheduling, cost tracking preferred.

 

Expected salary range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000 depending on experience.
