Job Summary:
The Grant Manager at Midland Rape Crisis and Children's Advocacy Center plays a crucial role in securing funding through local, federal, and state grants. The Grant Manager is responsible for writing grant proposals, managing budgets, and ensuring the timely submission of reimbursement requests for state and federal grants. This position requires a strong understanding of grant application processes, budget management, and compliance with grant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Grant Writing:

• Identify funding opportunities from local, federal, and state sources that align with the organization's mission and programs.
• Conduct comprehensive research to gather relevant data and statistics to support grant applications.
• Develop well-written, persuasive grant proposals and applications that effectively communicate the organization's objectives, activities, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with program directors and staff to gather information and insights necessary for successful grant applications.

Budget Management:

• Develop and manage budgets for grant-funded programs and projects.
• Ensure that budgets are realistic, accurate, and aligned with the requirements and restrictions of each grant.
• Monitor expenditure and revenue streams to ensure compliance with grant guidelines and funding restrictions.
• Provide regular reports on budget status and financial projections to program directors and executive leadership.

Grant Reimbursement:

• Prepare and submit accurate and timely reimbursement requests to state and federal agencies.
• Compile all necessary documentation, including financial reports, invoices, receipts, and other supporting materials, for reimbursement claims.
• Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines for grant reimbursement.

Grant Administration:

• Coordinate and manage all aspect s of grant administration, including contract negotiations, compliance, and reporting.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal grant regulations and requirements.
• Prepare and submit timely reimbursement requests and financial reports to funding agencies.
• Monitor program activities and expenses and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure adherence to grant guidelines.
• Serve as the main point of contact for grant-related inquiries from funding agencies and program staff.
• Collaborate with program directors and staff to ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping to meet audit requirements.
• Assist with audits and reviews related to grant-funded programs.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with program staff, leadership, and external stakeholders to gather necessary information for grant proposals and reporting.
• Foster relationships with funding agencies, community partners, and other relevant organizations to enhance grant opportunities.
• Communicate grant-related updates, requirements, and outcomes to internal stakeholders.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities related to grant management and fundraising.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as nonprofit management, public administration, or finance) or 5 years of related work experience.
• Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
• Strong understanding of local, federal, and state grant regulations, guidelines, and reporting requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple grant applications and deadlines.
• Proficient in budget development and financial management.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using productivity software, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with grant management software and databases is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

The MRCCAC provides support, hope, and healing for survivors of sexual assault and child abuse in the Permian Basin and surrounding counties. Our goal is to eradicate all forms of abuse through education and empowerment, but until that day we will provide every service possible for survivors to help them move forward. How We Got Started In 1979, the Midland Rape Crisis Center opened its doors and began providing sexual assault services to sexual assault survivors. The agency was the product of a group of individuals and law enforcement representatives who were concerned about rape and its consequences. In September 1996, the Center proudly added the Children’s Advocacy Center program. The Children’s Advocacy Center program was established in an effort to enhance the sensitivity and responsiveness of the criminal and civil justice systems to victims of child sexual abuse and severe physical abuse. The Center added a satellite office in Andrews County in 2007 and in Howard County in 2018. Where We Are Now The agency is now known as the Midland Rape Crisis and Children’s Advocacy Center. The Center has expanded its comprehensive services to help survivors of sexual assault, survivors of sexual abuse as well as survivors of homicide victims in Midland, Andrews, Big Spring, and surrounding counties. The Center’s services are offered at no cost. The Center is now comprised of four programs: Crisis and Support Services Children’s Advocacy Center Therapy Education The Center’s programs are funded by federal and state grants, the United Way of Midland-Andrews-Big Spring, grants from local foundations, agency fundraisers, and private contributions.
