The main purpose of this position is to provide professional input and assistance in formulating and reviewing health policy for the Prevention and Health Promotion Administration (PHPA), with a specific focus on maternal and child health and infectious disease epidemiology and outbreak response. This position will be responsible for conducting legislative analysis, preparing legislative proposals and assisting with the development and changes of regulations. This position will work on special projects as needed. This position will also perform the following tasks:
Education : A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience : One year of experience evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing health care services, policies and programs.
Note : Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree in Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or closely related field from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
