Position Summary :
Culver-Stockton College (C-SC) in Canton, Missouri is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Housekeeper/Custodian which plays a vital role in supporting Culver-Stockton College’s commitment to providing a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for its students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This position is one of trust and responsibility, ensuring that the campus remains a welcoming and well-maintained space for learning, teaching, and working. Responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of both interior and exterior campus areas through a variety of housekeeping tasks. Duties encompass cleaning, mopping, scrubbing, and sanitizing floors and surfaces, as well as refinishing, waxing, and polishing floors, tile work, and other surfaces. The Housekeeper/Custodian also ensures the upkeep of stairways, hallways, restrooms, offices, laboratories, and recreational and locker rooms, contributing to the overall quality and appearance of the College’s facilities.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintain the cleanliness of internal and external campus areas.
Perform housekeeping tasks, including: cleaning, mopping, scrubbing, and sanitizing floors and surfaces.
Cleaning and maintaining tile work, stairways, hallways, restrooms, offices, laboratories, recreation areas, and locker rooms.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED, required
Physically capable of performing demanding activities, including: walking, standing for extended periods, frequently climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying weights up to 75 pounds.
