HVAC Project Manager

Our client has become the largest roofing contractor in Southwest Florida, catering to both residential and commercial projects. It has also diversified its offerings to include HVAC and mechanical contracting, lightweight insulating concrete, and light gauge metal truss fabrication and installation. Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• May oversee a significant number of jobs at one time.
• Manages HVAC projects, designing systems per US standards.
• Oversees all phases of HVAC installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Engages with clients to promote the company's reputation.
• Leads detailing and drafting teams, coordinating with electrical, plumbing, and fire system staff.
• Maintains project records and communicates with owners, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensures projects meet quality, safety, and cost standards.
• Travels to job sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance.
• Seeks new business while maintaining existing client relationships.
• Designs HVAC systems in compliance with codes and secures necessary permits.
• Reviews specifications and prepares estimates, budgets, and schedules.
• Plans resources to achieve project goals.
• Coordinates pre-planning sessions with clients and subcontractors.
• Follows up on orders for timely material readiness.
• Adjusts schedules with sales and management to meet deadlines.
• Collaborates with general contractors to resolve design issues and communicate updates.
• Processes change orders and informs relevant parties.
• Inspects work to ensure timely inspections and quality.
• Attends meetings to kick off projects and address issues.
• Completes job closeout procedures.
• Maintains a professional appearance and keeps the company vehicle clean.
• Proactively addresses potential problems and consults blueprints for HVAC solutions.

Requirements:

• Commercial Experience Required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Requires 5-10 years of experience in HVAC systems preferably at least 5 years as a Foreman
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of business and finance.
• Ability to support others in achieving success.
• Basic computer skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication for resolving project issues and coordinating with subcontractors and clients.
• Builds trust with clients, ensuring a positive experience throughout the project.
• Capable of reading blueprints and repair manuals.
• Good customer service skills.
• Committed to workplace safety, following rules and reporting hazards.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday 7am-4pm
• Evening shift / On Call Opportunities
• Overtime
• Covers Charlotte to Manatee County
