We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing and Brand Coordinator for Harvard Business School (HBS) Foundry, an innovative digital learning platform dedicated to empowering ambitious underserved entrepreneurs globally. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and executing brand and marketing strategies to attract users and drive engagement, growth, and success for HBS Foundry?s users. Position Description
- Brand Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop, maintain, and enhance the HBS Foundry brand including the messaging, tone, and visual elements in alignment with university and project objectives.
- Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all marketing materials and channels.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase brand awareness and recognition globally.
- Market Research:
- Maintain awareness of the entrepreneur needs and gaps to ensure the platform has a clear and distinct customer value proposition.
- Maintain awareness of trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape for digital learning platforms, entrepreneurship education, and AI tools.
- Refine the target customer personas and learner profiles based on informed market research.
- Assess needs specific to target entrepreneurs that will dictate aspects of the marketing and brand strategy for Foundry.
- Partnership Development:
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships to expand HBS Foundry?s reach and impact.
- Coordinate with partners to execute joint marketing efforts and campaigns.
- Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and organizations that align with HBS Foundry?s mission.
- Content Creation:
- Develop graphic designs of visuals that align with HBS Foundry?s brand as needed.
- Develop content templates for visuals and user interface components that can be used for the platform, curriculum, and marketing content.
- Produce compelling marketing materials, including promotional videos, blog posts, newsletters, and social media posts. o Ensure all content aligns with HBS Foundry?s brand voice and mission.
- Marketing Campaigns:
- Plan, develop, and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, social media, email, etc.).
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Maintain close attention to channel success rates based on both time and money investment, continually A/B test opportunities to improve these metrics, and adjust marketing mix based on best opportunities.
- Manage HBS Foundry?s social media accounts, including content scheduling, posting, and community engagement.
- Develop and implement email marketing strategies to nurture leads and engage existing users.
- Create and distribute email newsletters and promotional emails.
- This role is responsible for other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing is required, preferably in a digital or educational environment.
- Education beyond high school may count toward experience.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) experience is a must.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with social media management, content creation, and email marketing.
- Experience in brand management and partnership development.
- Experience working at a startup is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Hootsuite).
- Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in graphic design.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Passion for entrepreneurship and education.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Additional Information
This position is approved for a 2-year term (with possibility of renewal/extension) which begins on the person's first day of employment. This is a 40 hours/week, overtime-eligible position This is a hybrid position which we consider to be a combination of remote and onsite work at our Boston, MA based campus. HBS expects all staff to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week and departments provide onsite coverage Monday ? Friday. Specific hours and days onsite will be determined by business needs and are subject to change with appropriate advanced notice.
