Medical Receptionist

We are looking for a rock-star Front Desk Medical Receptionist for our podiatry clinic. The Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our podiatry clinic. This position is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, receiving copays, answering questions, and providing administrative support. We offer a pay rate of $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience, for this part-time position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Patient Greeting and Check-In:
• Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Verify patient information and update medical records as needed.
• Collect co-payments, deductibles, and other fees.
• Appointment Scheduling:
• Schedule appointments using the clinic's appointment software.
• Reschedule appointments as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to the clinic's schedule.
• Call referrals as they are received.
• Insurance Verification:
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments.
• Administrative Support:
• Answer and direct phone calls and portal messages.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
• Customer Service:
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors.
• Handle patient inquiries and complaints professionally and effectively.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the clinic.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to stand and walk as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
