OVERVIEW: The Operations Intern is a key member of the Operations team, helping to support all areas of the organization. In collaboration with the Operations Lead, this person will assist with various day-to-day administrative tasks that are essential to Love146’s overall operational health, staff productivity, and mission achievement.

REPORTS TO: Operations Lead

HOURS: 10-12 hours weekly (Wednesdays in office required)

LOCATION: New Haven, CT 

SALARY: This position is considered an unpaid internship and is eligible for college credit.

ANTICIPATED DATES: Summer 2025, exact dates flexible

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

General Administration (100%)

• Assist with ensuring that the New Haven office is welcoming, organized and stocked
• Provide technical support to all staff
• Assist with responding to and disseminating emails from the Love146 Info inbox as well as scanning and distributing physical mail to various departments
• Provide fleet management support to the U.S. Survivor Care team
• Ad hoc projects as assigned by the Operations Lead

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Interest in nonprofit operations and/or management
• High school diploma

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

• Ability to multitask various priorities; Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills
• General tech savviness
• Mastery of Google Workspace apps (Gmail, Calendar, Meet, Drive, Shared Drives) required
• Experience with Slack preferred
• CRM experience preferred (Salesforce)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

WORKING CONDITIONS

The incumbent must spend long hours sitting, using office equipment and performing computer operations, which requires intense mental and visual concentration and eye hand coordination.  The incumbent is located in a busy, open office area with regular interruptions which may cause stress. The incumbent is required to deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.
