Summary Children and youth across the state of WI deserve access to outstanding out-of-school time programs. We are hiring an organizer to create the people power to ensure funding for youth in our state. We are looking for a dynamic, relationship-focused, strategic thinker to organize out-of-school time providers in a statewide advocacy campaign. The ideal candidate will believe that robust public funding for children in Wisconsin is possible and can motivate others to work together toward this goal. Duties Position Summary: this position, under the supervision of Wisconsin Youth Company?s executive director and working with advocacy partners across the state, will organize an innovative campaign for robust public funding for out-of-school time programs across the state of Wisconsin. Through outreach, networking and relationship building, as well as managing meetings and local events, this position will organize out-of-school time providers to advocate for the public policies and public funding that supports children and families in the state of Wisconsin.
Hours & Pay: This is a grant funded position with the option to continue based on funding availability.
Pay is based on education and experience, the salary range is $55,000 to $60,000 annually
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday | Some weekends, evenings, and travel required
Requirements The Ideal Candidate:
� Has experience organizing around an issue or campaign
� Can work independently, organizing their own workflow and time management
� Is confident expressing themselves clearly in public speaking and in in written communication
� Has a bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience
� Is organized and has leadership abilities
� Is willing and able to develop a strategy for successful advocacy
