JOB SUMMARY
Perform skilled and semiskilled duties relating to the care and maintenance of park properties, rights-of-way, and facilities. Act as a crew leader including but not limited to training employees and directing work activities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or GED certification with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in tree planting, trimming, care and removal, horticulture or landscape planning and design, building maintenance, aquatic facility maintenance, and/or the care of cultivation of grounds, including plants, shrubs, and trees; or any combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.
Must possess or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire a valid Class A commercial driver’s license.
Within six months of appointment to this position, must be licensed by the South Dakota Department of Agriculture as a licensed public operator for the application/spraying of pesticides and insecticides.
