Plastics Finisher

Summary/Objective:

• Finishes molded parts to customer specifications.

Days:

• Monday through Friday

Hours:

• 7:00am until 3:30pm

Pay:

• $16.00 - $18.00 DOE

Job Responsibilities

• • Mix filler and hardener per instructions.
• • Inspect parts and fill voids.
• • Using sandpaper, straight drill, and sander, finish parts per job instructions.
• • Verify counts, scan job traveler, and route to the next location.
• • Meet quality and quantity standards for the position.
• • Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Syteline MIS system.
• • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• • Adheres to all safety policies and practices, consistently uses personal protective equipment, and practices good housekeeping.
• • Maintains regular on-time attendance and adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
• • Applies classroom and on the job post training information, knowledge, skills, and abilities consistently in a quality-oriented manner (wherein the KSAs are part of the jobs tasks, duties and other tasks as requested).
• • Performs other tasks as directed.

Requirements:

• Educational, Experience Based, and Skill Qualifications • High school graduate or equivalent with manual dexterity.
• 6 months’ experience in a surface finishing function preferable.
• • Ability to read job travelers/job specification.
• • Strong attention to detail. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended time periods, reach and grasp parts/hand tools and lift up to and including 35 pounds as needed.
