Senior Industrial Designer
Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Hybrid work schedule) Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Designer to lead innovative design projects and develop groundbreaking product solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial design and experience with various manufacturing processes, ensuring that designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and manufacturable.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the design process from concept to completion for various industrial projects.
- Create detailed 3D models and prototypes using Rhino, Blender, and Fusion 360.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing.
- Utilize 3D printing, die casting, and CNC machining techniques to develop prototypes.
- Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders and incorporate feedback.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in design software and technology.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial design with a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in design software such as Rhino, Blender, Keyshot, and Fusion 360.
- Experience in 3D modeling, hand modeling, and product prototyping.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes including injection molding, die casting, and CNC.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
