Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY
Actively participates in the coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the clinical social work staff. Provides leadership and mentoring of staff in order to meet the department's goals and performance standards including quality, service, communication and credo behavior, compliance, finance, throughput and scheduling. Provides operational and clinical social work supervision to the staff in the development of clinical practice, and provision of quality patient care. Practices social work by providing direct services to identified cohort of patients and families.

* Coordinates and provides support for all clinical staffing.
* Mentors staff to develop individual and team performance.
* Participates in the evaluation of staff via clinical supervision of staff.
* Participates in the management of resources needed to guarantee quality patient care.
* Resolves patient/family conflicts as they arise regarding the patient/ family experience.
* Provides direct patient care.
* Contributes to the organization by actively participating in process improvement initiatives and shared decision making.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
* Clinical Counseling (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of clinical counseling in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
* Compliance (Novice): Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job. Understands the principles upon which the rules and regulations are based. Appropriately escalates problems relating to rules and regulations in timely and effective manner.
