Salary: 81,250 - 146,875 USD per year Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus six (6) years of systems engineering experience; or a High School diploma plus ten (10) years of general systems engineering experience.
• Ability to travel.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all commitments are well defined, documented, reported, designed, provisioned, tested, and appropriately managed and deployed.
• Create custom modules/libraries for Robot Framework to assist in test development.
• Develop Bash or Python scripts to further automate and test in-house software packages.
• Provide training to software and system engineering teams on in-house software testing packages.
• Support agile software development workflows, such as sprints, and use Git for version control.
• Oversee JIRA for issue tracking, customer requests, and sprint planning.
• Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of work products in Technical Process Areas associated with the Systems Engineering Lifecycle.
• Assist in performing systems engineering activities in the Systems Engineering Lifecycle Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
• Analyze technical alternatives for projects and make preliminary recommendations.
• Independently analyze and recommend alternatives for elements of project technical designs.

The Leidos National Security Sector has a career opportunity for a Software Systems Engineer at our Leidos facility in Columbia, MD. Our program is a large, multi-year contract for the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of large collection systems. The work being done on this Leidos-led contract is extremely important to the government and offers our team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies.

As a Software Systems Engineer, you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse systems based on documented requirements. Your role includes hardware and software integration, infrastructure, and provisioning while applying systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. You will interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed.

You must possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance to be considered for this role. Depending on experience and qualifications, the pay range for this position is between $81,250.00 and $146,875.00. Please note that this pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation; other factors will also be considered in extending an offer.
