Women's Clothing Designer

About the Role
The Designer is responsible for creating stylish, brand-appropriate designs for a mid-to-high-volume product category. This role focuses on developing seasonal collections that align with business goals, incorporating style, color, fabric, and fit. The designer will research trends, understand consumer needs, and ensure the brand's aesthetic and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Design commercially viable products that align with the brand's vision and business strategy.
• Develop seasonal styles with a focus on fit, fabric, and construction.
• Adjust designs based on feedback to finalize collections.
• Manage multiple product categories, including fashion tops, dresses, sweaters, outerwear, denim, and bottoms.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, and Product Development teams.
• Present designs and concepts to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Lead and mentor junior designers.
• Stay updated on fashion trends and competitor products.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Design or related field.
• 4+ years of design experience in a retail environment.
• Strong creativity with attention to detail in styling and garment construction.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Centric is a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring a team.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid schedule (Tues-Thurs in the NYC office).
