Accountant

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team focused on working with our construction clients. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and assisting in the preparation of tax documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain financial records and ledgers.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Handle bookkeeping tasks including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and file 1099 forms for independent contractors and vendors.
• Assist in general ledger maintenance and month-end closing processes.
• Facilitate timely payment of invoices and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role in a public accounting setting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with bank reconciliation and bookkeeping tasks.
• Familiarity with preparing 1099 forms and general ledger management.
