Job Description

Volunteer Position: Data and Reporting Officer – Austin NOW Economic Justice Committee

Location: Austin, TX (Remote Option Available)

Commitment: Flexible (approximately 5-10 hours per month)

Overview:

The Austin NOW Economic Justice Committee is seeking a Data and Reporting Officer to join our team of dedicated volunteers. As a key member of our committee, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, tracking the progress of initiatives, and preparing detailed monthly reports for the Committee Lead. Your work will directly contribute to shaping the economic justice initiatives that support women’s freedom, success, and address intersecting issues of race and oppression.

Responsibilities:

    • Track Committee Progress: Maintain and update records of ongoing projects, initiatives, and goals related to economic justice.
    • Data Management: Collect, organize, and manage relevant data related to economic justice campaigns, including workshops, advocacy efforts, and legislative updates.
    • Report Preparation: Prepare monthly reports summarizing committee activities, progress toward goals, and any challenges faced. Present findings in a clear, organized format for the Committee Lead and broader team.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with the Committee Lead and other committee members to gather data, understand project developments, and ensure accurate reporting.
    • Documentation: Ensure all data is documented and stored in an easily accessible and secure format for future reference and reporting.

Qualifications:

    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in data management tools such as Google Sheets, Excel, or other reporting software.
    • Excellent written communication skills to prepare clear and concise reports.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
    • A commitment to the values of economic justice and support for the intersectional work of Austin NOW.
    • Experience with nonprofit work, advocacy, or data reporting is a plus but not required.
