Job Description

Ross Construction, LLC is looking for a Carpenter or someone who has a desire to be trained in residential construction skills, including but not limited to; Concrete, Masonry, Demolition, Framing, Window Installation, Removal and Installation of Siding, Doors, Cabinetry, Trim, Tile and Flooring. The role may include both interior and exterior work and may evolve or change over time.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare materials, tools, and equipment at the job site
• Consult and follow instructions from a job supervisor
• Thoroughly clean and clear the job site, including returning tools and materials to their proper location
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
• Ability to follow and complete schedules while upholding high accuracy and standards
• Calculate and utilize materials efficiently
• Uses hand and power tools to measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and related materials to specification

Qualifications:

• Effective Communication skills, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
• Attention to detail
• Must be well organized and able to multi-task while still able to be exceptionally accurate
• Ability to work independently while also able to work with others and take direction
• Able to operate power tools and equipment safely
• Flexibility to move from one task to another, and one job to another
• High School degree or equivalent, vocational school or previous experience a plus
• Current Driver’s license and reliable vehicle is required

Work Conditions:

• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, crouch, climb, squat and balance on a variety of surfaces
• Able to work in noisy areas and around small and large equipment
• Able to work in dusty environments
• Ability to work around obstacles, sub contractors, people, and pets
• May require lifting in excess of 60 pounds

• Employees are to always act, dress, and carry themselves in a professional manner
• We will not tolerate tardiness, complaining, dishonesty, or bad habits that affect other co-workers or clients.

Travel:

• You will need to be able to travel to and from the job site daily. Sometimes traveling to multiple job sites in one day locally and across Central WI.
