Job Description

America’s Test Kitchen is seeking a passionate and creative Social Media Intern to join our Social Media Marketing team. This exciting position is responsible for helping us engage with our audiences and grow our online communities.

The Social Media intern will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with a passion and knack for social content. They will be an integral part of day-to-day social media activities for our brands America’s Test Kitchen, Cook’s Illustrated and Cook’s Country on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X and Pinterest.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Social Strategy Support: Collaborate with team members to develop, refine and execute comprehensive social media strategies that are aligned with individual brand goals and overarching business goals

  • Platform Management: Manage day-to-day activities such as scheduling, community engagement and monitoring performance across the brands’ social media platforms and profiles, focusing on best practices for ensuring channel growth and ongoing engagement

  • Platform Optimizations: Update and maintain social media profiles, ensuring they reflect the latest brand updates, product offerings, and key messaging.

  • Content Creation & Curation: Contribute to brainstorming sessions and assist in the ideation, creation and publishing of engaging social media content, including copywriting, graphic design, photos and videos, images, tailored to platform-specific best practices.

  • Community Management & Engagement: Monitor and manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, inquiries, etc. in a timely, brand-appropriate manner. Proactively engage with tagged content, mentions and trending conversations to foster positive brand interactions and increase visibility.

  • Social Trend-spotting: Stay up to date on social media trends and industry best practices. Support content planning through research, audience insights, and competitor analysis to identify content opportunities.

  • Data Analysis: Working knowledge of key metrics (e.g. engagement, reach, video views, etc.) to measure performance and develop go-forward insights.

Skills and qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree candidate in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.) and engaging content.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, CapCut)

  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g. Sprout Social, Emplifi)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

This position is located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district. It is the expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the office and 2 days per week remotely.
