About Rocky Mountain Prep
We are Rocky Mountain Prep, a movement comprised of incredible educators, families, scholars, and advocates who are changing the face of public education in Colorado by democratizing college access and preparation for historically marginalized students and families. On paper, we are a network of twelve college preparatory charter schools in the Denver metro area serving students as young as twelve weeks through twelfth grade. But we are so much more than this.
The RMP community is filled with staff, students, and stakeholders who are motivated by our pillars of rigor and love, live daily by our PEAK values, and believe deeply in the power and potential of every student we serve. Each member of the organization plays a part in achieving these goals. School-based staff members will work towards 2 or 3 metrics aligned to their individual roles AND the Big 5. These metrics vary by position and are subject to change for the 2025-2026 school year. As a 12th Grade Teacher & College Counselor, you will be held accountable for some of these goals.
Role Mission
As the Junior and Senior Seminar teachers at our high school, our mission is to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and guidance necessary to navigate their academic journeys and prepare them for college success beyond graduation.
The Senior Seminar Teacher plays a critical role in preparing 12th-grade students for life after high school, with a strong emphasis on post-secondary education, career readiness, and personal growth. This role focuses on guiding students in their final year of high school through the college application process, career exploration, and skills development to ensure a successful transition into adulthood. The Senior Seminar Teacher will collaborate closely with the College and Career team, classroom teachers, and families to provide comprehensive support for each students unique path. This position offers the opportunity to impact students' futures by equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive after high school. Through a commitment to excellence and a belief in every students potential, the Senior Seminar Teacher will embody the values of RMP and serve as a vital support for students as they transition into their post-secondary lives. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $60,000 - $89,000.
